Great service and prompt delivery went straight in without a hitch
I rang early one day to order a pump for my pool. The new pump arrived a couple of days later and went straight in. The whole transaction was quick, easy and no fuss.
Poolshop saved me $200 against the price quoted by my local supplier for a Waterco Supastream pool pump. I wanted the same pump as my old model, to avoid having to do any re-plumbing. Mitch advised me that the manufacturer had changed the size of the union connections and so I had to change some fittings. I was very happy with the price and the quick delivery.
Mitch is knowledgeable and has provided useful advice on a pool pump. Although he recommended another brand, I selected Waterco because my previous one had served me well until it packed in. Price was quoted more than the competitor but Mitch offered me a price match. The purchase went well but delivery to Brisbane proved to be a pain. Australia Post stuffed up the delivery (somehow) and it was delayed for 4 days due to the weekend. Not impressed with Australia Post. I had the pump installed which required some plumbing connectors and elbows. Why did Waterco change the size of the pump to complicate customers, I simply have no idea? The pump is taller and slightly longer than the original one (Aquastream 150 E). Anyway, the new pump is working well and I hope I don't have to use the 3 year warranty!
It's great to be able to deal with a business who understands your particular needs. Their product is cheaper than the local pool shop, there is someone there on the end of a phone line who understands pool technology to discuss individual needs, and should you need, there are experienced installers who know what they are doing. I'm normally reticent to use online services over the local shop, but in this case, I'm glad that I went online.
